Wellness Policy and Reporting
In Brooklyn Center Community Schools, wellbeing is integrated throughout departments and programs. From our justice-centered work through the Educational Equity team to lessons with the Curriculum and Instruction department, and from employee wellbeing to family and community engagement, access to holistic and authentic wellbeing content and resources is prioritized. This is evident in the needs and interests assessments of our community that informs our Wellness Policy, in the wellbeing programs that highlight all dimensions of wellbeing, and in the intentional action plans and program and policy implementation reports that are curated annually. BCCS provides a comprehensive library of informational fliers for staff, families and community members to support the implementation of the important policy points. The support of the collective allows for safer and healthier environments for each student and all stakeholders.
