Perp Jones was hired as the coordinator for the Community Corner. Jones was previously an education assistant and has worked in the district for five years. She started her new position on Monday, April 22.
“I continue to work in Brooklyn Center because it is a way to give back to this community by providing resources to further strengthen families and residents,” Jones said.
Prior to working in Brooklyn Center Community Schools, Jones worked in Hennepin Health, Hennepin County and NorthPoint Health and Wellness. Jones said she enjoys interacting with the community and specifically in the education setting.
“This is my way of investing time and talent in the lives of our future great leaders,” Jones said.
Part of her role includes working with residents and families within and around Brooklyn Center. Jones said she hopes to make the Community Corner into a place where Brooklyn Center residents can call or visit for information and resources for their families.
When she’s not at work, Jones enjoys volunteering in the community and being with friends and family.
