School Board Seat Vacancy

The BCCS School Board is searching for a school board member to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Jeffrey Palm due to his move out of the district. If you are interested in serving on the school board, please read the details below and submit your letter of interest by Wednesday, Oct. 6.

School Board Vacancy Details

This board appointment will last through December 2022, at which time the candidate will need to be elected to the School Board through a general election.

 The School Board meets two times per month on the second Monday and fourth Monday. On occasion, there may also be committee assignments outside of the designated meeting times.


  • Must be a resident of the BCCS school district for at least 30 days (M.S. 204B.06, Subd. 1)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be an eligible voter
  • Members of the School Board must pass a background check. Convicted sex offenders are not eligible to become School Board members (M.S. 205A.06, Subd. 1b)

 Members of the School Board receive a monthly stipend for their commitment to the school district and community.
