Winter Break Calendar Change

Dear BCCS Parents and Families:

At a special meeting last night, the BCCS Board made the decision to extend this year’s winter break for students and staff from December 20 through Monday, January 3. The last day for students and staff before winter break will be Friday, December 17.

This decision was made in anticipation of the conclusion of the Potter trial. While we do not know what the outcome of the trial will be, we believe that extending winter break will allow the district and families to avoid any challenges that may arise within our community as a result of the verdict.

We understand that this may cause some hardship for families. To that end, CentaurPlus- our school-aged daycare option- will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and available to support families on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, we will be packing and sending meals home with students on Friday, December 17 for Monday, December 20- Wednesday, December 22.

Centaur Beginnings- our infant daycare option- will be closed the entire week of December 20. There will not be any after school programming during the entire week of December 20.
