Join us April 26-30 for BCCS Wellness Week

Thursday, April 22, 2021

As many in our Brooklyn Center Community Schools community know, we began planning a wellness week for students, families, staff and community members back in February. Now, after our community has had to navigate another crisis, the activities and events focusing on healing, self-care, building resilience and strengthening our community are more relevant than ever.

Brooklyn Center Community Schools invites families and community members to a full week of free wellness and health-related activities and events April 26-30. To maintain the safety of our community we will be offering small group outdoor, in-person, and/or virtual live-streaming programming throughout the week. Program themes will address all of the Eight Dimensions of Wellness and are being created to meet the needs and interests expressed to us by our students, staff, families and community members. The highlight of the week will be the Virtual Wellness Family Night event on Thursday, April 29, from 5:30-7 p.m.: Healing, Building Resilience, and Strengthening Community. The event will include opening comments from Mr. Fraser, Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM principal, and closing remarks about personal and community wellbeing from Superintendent Baker. See the schedule below and register for the events you are interested in.
