What groups, activities or sports have you been involved in at Brooklyn Center High School?
Winter Cheerleading, Fall Cheerleading, Softball, Leaders of Tomorrow, Prom Committee
What is your favorite memory of high school?
My favorite memory of high school was September 23, 2019. It was the night of homecoming and me and all my friends got together for a bonfire. It was one of my top 5 happiest moments.
Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher of all time is the famous Mr. Goyah. He’s like the best, best friend anybody would wish for. Mr. Goyah is not afraid to tell it how it is and he takes pride in calling you out on everything and anything. It’s his way of being kind. Mr. Goyah is the most understanding and the most passionate person I’ve ever met. I’m very honored to have had Mr. Goyah as a teacher and a mentor.
Brooklyn Center Community Schools stands front and center for Collaboration, Inclusivity and Unity. What do you stand front and center for?
I stand front and center for selflessness, Giving, Love, and Respect. The most important thing to me personally is to make everyone happy because it makes me happy. One act of positivity can cause another and that’s what I like to see.
Why do you love being a Centaur?
I love being a Centaur because we’re unique. We are a group that loves everyone for themselves and expect everyone to be nothing else but themselves. I love being a Centaur because we are authentic by default.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan after graduation is to start off at North Hennepin Community College to begin my generals, then transfer to the University of Minnesota to become an OBGYN.
What advice would you give someone just starting high school?
My advice would be to put yourself out there, join sports, and be a part of clubs. I was a shy person in 9th grade, but I had met some friends that are now family to me that changed me for the better. You’ll miss so much if you shy away, so don’t be scared. All the staff at BC are awesome and will welcome you with open arms.
