Class of 2019 – Blessing Jusu

Blessing Jusu Blessing Jusu is a member of the class of 2019. Find out what she's doing after graduation!

What is your favorite memory from your high school education?

One of my favorite memories from high school was performing at every pep fest as a cheerleader. It was always nerve wracking because everyone’s eyes are on you and you can’t mess up. But it was always a good feeling at the end of every performance because I would get compliments whether I messed up or not. I’m going to miss being a cheerleader for this school.

What advice would you give someone just starting high school?

The advice I would give to someone who is just starting high school is to be yourself. Be confident and stay true to yourself. There will be sunny and rainy days but just know you will get through them either by yourself or with your friends. Start the school year off strong because the hard work will pay off your senior year after you start getting college acceptance letters and scholarships. ALways be a leader and never follow the crowd and people will see you and look up to you as a role model. Be active in your community and participate in after-school activities. Always remember it’s a great day to be a CENTAUR!

What are your plans for the future?

My future plans are to attend Minnesota State University – Mankato to study nursing and minor in biology. After my first four years of college, I plan on working as a RN and going back to school to become a nurse practitioner or OB-GYN.
