Early Dismissal for some schools, programs on Thursday, February 7

Due to inclement weather and deteriorating road conditions, we are canceling all after-school and evening activities and athletics on Thursday, February 7, 2019. We are also dismissing several schools and programs early today to keep buses running on schedule for later routes.

The following schools and programs will dismiss early:

  • Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM. All grades 6-12 students will be released from north campus at 2:20 p.m.
  • Early College Academy. Students will dismiss at 2:20 p.m.
  • Pre-K. Students will dismiss at 1:30 p.m.

For families that pick-up their student at the end of the day, please adjust your pick-up time according to our early dismissal times.

The following schools and programs will follow a regular schedule and pick-up time:

  • Earle Brown Elementary STEAM students in grades K-5
  • Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) students at the Community Corner and EBE
  • Baby Steps
  • Bright Start

By dismissing some schools and programs earlier than normal, buses on later routes will run closer to their normal schedule. Families are encouraged to download the free Here Comes the Bus mobile app to view the real-time location of your child’s bus. Click here for more information about using the app.
