Earle Brown fifth graders celebrate completing elementary school

Families, staff members and 180 fifth grade students gathered in the EB gym to celebrate the end of elementary school. Callie Lalugba, principal at EB, and Maggie Vecchio-Smith, assistant principal at EB, congratulated students for the completion of a major academic milestone. Josh Fraser, principal of Brooklyn Center STEAM, spoke to students and welcomed them to middle school.
Students who have been enrolled at EB since Pre-K were honored for starting their academic career and completing the elementary level all in one building. Students were also honored for academic success and growth in reading and math. Each fifth-grade class also selected two students to be honored for their efforts of leading their classroom throughout the school year.
