Students of BC – Rymir Williams

Rymir Williams

Rymir Williams Grade

Eighth Grade

What was your favorite part about middle school?

Middle school was more mature than elementary school. I moved here from Philadelphia at the beginning of eighth grade and it was difficult. The culture here was a lot different than my previous school, in a good way. I liked being prepared for what we need to know for high school. My favorite memory from this year was my first choir concert.

What is your favorite subject in school?

Math became my favorite subject this year because it was more complicated than what I’m used to. I think I’ll always enjoy math now.

What do you hope to learn or participate in during high school?

I want to take Spanish because I want to learn different languages. Growing up, I learned a little bit of Arabic from my mom. I want to play football this fall so I can play in college. I want to be the first of my siblings to go to college and hopefully play in the NFL.

Why are you excited or nervous for high school?

I’m excited. I want to have fun and for high school to be an amazing experience. I’m nervous because I’m not always prepared but hopefully I can let that go and learn to be more prepared. I know I have a good team of people, like my family and teachers, who can help me get back to where I need to be.
