Reminder: BCCS to shift to distance learning model on Monday, November 16
Thursday, November 12, 2020 – Last week, Brooklyn Center Community Schools announced the decision to shift from the limited campus hybrid model to distance learning for all students in grades E-12 starting Monday, November 16. Starting Monday, all students will receive services through our distance learning model, including:
All students that receive in-person special education and English language development services will receive all services remotely beginning November 16
Students will only be able to schedule virtual appointments with teachers in the distance learning model
Additionally, there have been a few other changes starting next week that families should be aware of, including:
Monday, November 16 will be the final day of in-person athletics practices and games for the foreseeable future. The regular season for fall athletics will finish as scheduled but all post-season games are canceled. Winter athletics will be postponed, however, coaches will be in touch with winter athletes about virtual opportunities. Weekend meals to be distributed to BC community
Starting Friday, November 9, students can expect to receive extra meals every Friday, except for non-school days. Meals will be included with meal distribution routes and for families and students who pick-up onsite. Click here to find a meal route near you!
Centaur Beginnings childcare closed on Wednesdays
