Meal distribution changes to start with expanded campus hybrid model

January 28, 2021 – Starting Wednesday, February 3, changes will be made to our current meal distribution schedule. Because our transportation team and nutrition services department will need to provide meals and routes for students starting the expanded campus hybrid model, we will be unable to provide daily meal distribution routes. Starting February 3, students and families will be able to access free school meals in the following ways:

  • Every school day, Monday – Friday, at Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM. Students will be able to pick-up one meal each day between 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Every Wednesday at Brooklyn Center Elementary STEAM. Students will be able to pick-up one meal each Wednesday between 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday meal distribution routes. Our current meal distribution routes will deliver 5-day meal packs every Wednesday. Meals will be packed in boxes for students to carry home.

Meal distribution routes will not be available on Monday, February 1 or Tuesday, February 2. Families are encouraged to pick-up meals at BCM&HS on these days.

As a reminder, meals are only available on school days. Meal distribution routes and pick-up sites will not be available on non-school days. Click here for more information and to view a meal distribution stop near you.
