Class of 2019 – Sidney Meader

Sidney Meader What is your favorite memory from your high school education?

My favorite high school memory, or memories in this case, will always be the bus rides to and from games, competitions, and meets. It was always super nice to just hang out with the teammates and we would always have really good conversations on the bus.

What advice would you give someone just starting high school?

My advice to incoming freshmen is to start strong. It can be so easy to fall behind and struggle to catch up, but your high school experience will be much more enjoyable if you continuously work hard throughout all four grades, especially freshman year. More importantly, respect your teachers. Do not be the difficult student because you simply do not agree with them, do what you’re told and you’ll fly by easily.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future are in multiple areas. I will be attending Bethel University in St. Paul next year as a sophomore, and I will be majoring in neuroscience with a minor in chemistry. I will also be continuing my track and field career there as well. I am also serving in the army reserves and will work as a mortuary affairs specialist in Eau Claire.
