National African American Parent Involvement Day

Families are invited to attend the National African-American Parent Involvement Day on Monday, February 11, 2019. Events will take place throughout the day at Earle Brown Elementary STEAM and Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM. Join us when you're able!

Earle Brown Elementary STEAM

  • 8 a.m. Breakfast and welcome from admin
  • 8:30 a.m. Guest speaker Dr. Reggie Edwards
  • 9 a.m. Shadow students
  • 9:30 a.m. Kindness quote station

Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM – north and south campuses

  • 11:30 a.m. Lunch and welcome from admin. All families will meet at south campus, 5951 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430.
  • 11:45 a.m. "Get Ready" college readiness presentation
  • 12:30 p.m. Classroom tours/shadow students. Families will be transported to north campus to shadow students with classes in that building. Families will remain at south campus for students with classes in that building.
  • 2:15 p.m. Departure, turn-in kindness quote at stations
