Volunteers celebrated at annual luncheon

On Thursday, May 30, the district recognized and celebrated all of Brooklyn Center Community Schools volunteers for their generous gift of time and attention to help our students, school, and community grow stronger. Thank you to Ms. Jefferies' and Ms. Khadar's classes for joining our Volunteer Luncheon. Students sang a few songs and did an amazing job. Volunteers are a precious resource to the BCCS community!

BCCS believes that volunteers are an important piece of our school’s culture. We welcome parents, guardians, and community members alike to spend as much or as little time as they have available to volunteer with us.

Our parents and community members are engaged in our schools helping with classroom support (math, english learning, tutoring, and reading), special event set up, filed trips and more.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Miamon Queeglay, community schools manager, at 763-450.3386 x5011.
