May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we’re highlighting our community school resources that focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Mental Health Services

Mental health services are provided by The Family Partnership, Kente Circle, North Psychology Clinic and POR - Emotional Wellness. Appointments are available at no cost for insured and uninsured patients. To schedule an appointment, call 763-450-3385 ext. 5100 or email HRC@BCCS286.org.

Purple Room

The Purple Room at Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM is a place where students can go to step away and process emotions or life events, decompress, and spend time to reset. Learn more about the Purple Room.

Wellness On Your Terms

The BCCS wellness campaign, Wellness On Your Terms, is all about personal and communal advocacy in health, wellness and fitness spaces. Find the definitions of terms and links to resources to support your personal health care and wellness and to support our communal well-being on the downloadable flier. Learn about stigmas that we need to break, intersectionality, body neutrality, and more.

Change to Chill

Find online mental health resources through this website by Allina Health. Learn about mindfulness, find activities for students and for parents, and get connected to local organizations that provide mental health resources.
