Voting Information
Be a voter!
To vote you must be live within the boundaries of BCCS and be:

A U.S. citizen

At least 18 years old on Election Day (16 and 17 year-olds can pre-register)

A resident of Minnesota for 20 days

Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction

Not under a court order that revokes your right to vote
Register to vote
It's quick and easy! To register online you will need:

Your Minnesota driver’s license or Minnesota identification card number, or the last four numbers of your Social Security number

An email address

Be eligible to vote in Minnesota

If you have changed your name or your address, you will need to re-register.

In order for their name to appear on the November 5 polling roster, voters must pre-register by Oct. 15, 2024. If a voter does not meet the October 15 registration deadline, they will need to register on Election Day at their polling place.
Early Voting
Early voting is available starting on Friday, September 20 and ending Monday, November 4.
Early voting can be done by mail via absentee ballot or in person at Brooklyn Center City Hall (6301 Shingle Creek Parkway).
Election Day
You must be 18 years old and a resident of BCCS on Election Day to vote.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.
