Free & Reduced Lunch
BCCS is apart of Minnesota’s Free School Meals Program! All students can get one breakfast and one lunch free of charge each day at school. Although no application is required to receive this free meal benefit, filling out the Application for Educational Benefits is still important! Your child(ren) may qualify for other benefits like reduced fees at school. Your application may also help the school qualify for education funds, discounts, and other meal programs.
Our district is eligible to receive additional state and federal funds based on the number of students enrolled who reside in households that meet established federal income guidelines. If you have not already, you still need to complete the Application for Educational Benefits and turn it into your front office. A new application must be completed each year and we follow strict guidelines to protect a student's confidentiality. Click here to fill out your online portal

Why do I have to fill this out?
Our district receives a major part of funding from the state based on the number of children who are eligible for Free or Reduced meals, whether or not those children purchase school meals. Filling out this application benefits all students and all areas of our school district, not only food services.
Submission Process
Please fill out the one-page application to apply for free or reduced-price meals and return it to the cafeteria lunch clerk or the school’s main office.
NOTE: If at any time during the school year your family income status changes (e.g. laid-off, furlough, government shutdown, seasonal work) you are encouraged to complete an application for educational benefits. Once approved, they are in place for the remainder of the school year, regardless of income status.
