Dear BCCS Community,
This message is to inform you that internet service was restored to all Brooklyn Center Community Schools buildings around 2:00 p.m. today. We are pleased to share that we will be back in-person for regular school programming tomorrow (Wednesday, September 16, 2026).
I also want to take a moment and acknowledge the immense inconvenience this school closure placed on your family. The decision to close school was complex with many factors to consider. While his internet outage was impacting phone lines and plans for academic instruction, our main concern centered on if we were to experience a safety incident, we would not have access to building communications. The safety of our students and staff is, and always will be, our top priority.
We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your support today as we quickly changed our programming plans. We always strive to improve our communications and appreciate your responsiveness to the changing needs of today’s events. Please plan to return to in-person learning and all other regularly scheduled child care and activities on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 unless you are notified otherwise.
