Sept. 15 - Oct. 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month! It is often extended to Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month. This month is a time to honor and celebrate the unique histories, traditions, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans. Hispanic Heritage Month begins in the middle rather than the start of September because it coincides with national independence days in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Chile, and Belize.
Join us for our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. at Brooklyn Center Elementary! Dinner, Lotería/BINGO, and arts and crafts will take place from 5-6 p.m., with student performances following.
