Learn about the community school resources available to you during the 2023-2024 school year.

Brooklyn Center Community Schools knows that learning begins when students’ needs are met. Through the support of community partners and programming, we offer a range of services and supports to address academic and nonacademic barriers to students’ education, wellness, and success.

HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER (HRC)

Our Health Resource Center, located at Brooklyn Center Middle and High School STEAM, provides free and low-cost medical, dental, vision, and mental health services to youth of Brooklyn Center Schools and community members ages 0-19.   • Medical, Dental and Vision Services

In partnership with Park Nicollet Clinic, walk-in appointments for medical care are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-5 p.m. 

Dental services are available by appointment every other Monday. Call 612-746-1530 for dental appointments. 

Vision services and navigation may be offered by appointment. Please call 763-561-2120 Ext. 5100 or email hrc@bccs286.org for more information. 

  • Mental Health Services

Mental health services are provided by Arubah Emotional Health, The Family Partnership, VEEMAH Integrated Wellness, Dianne Bari - LICSW, North Psychology Clinic and POR - Emotional Wellness. Appointments are available at no or low cost for insured and uninsured patients. For additional information or to get connected with a provider, contact School Social Worker Alyssa Herrera, aherrera@bccs286.org.

  • Annex Teen Clinic

Our partnership with Annex Teen Clinic provides confidential sexual health services and education to high schoolers. Appointments with BCCS's Annex Health Mentor can be made by calling or texting Netsanet Semere at 678-941-9612.

FAMILY RESOURCE ROOMS

Family Liaisons staff our Family Resource Rooms and can assist families in acquiring basic needs such as food, clothing, health insurance, county services, utility assistance and more. Please find additional information below and call your liaison to discuss available services!
