301–School District Administration
The purpose of this policy is to clarify the role of the school district administration and its relationship with the school board.

302–Superintendent
The purpose of this policy is to recognize the importance of the role of the superintendent and the overall responsibility of that position within the school district.

303–Superintendent Selection
The purpose of this policy is to convey to the school community that the authority to select and employ a superintendent is vested in the school board.

304–Superintendent Contract_ Duties_ and Evaluation
The purpose of this policy is to provide for the use of an employment contract with the superintendent, a position description and the use of an approved instrument to evaluate performance.

305–Policy Implementation
The purpose of this policy is to clarify the responsibility of the school administration for implementation of school board policy.

306–Administrator Code of Ethics
The purpose of this policy is to establish the requirements of the school board that school administrators adhere to the standards of ethics and professional conduct in this policy and Minnesota law.

307 Emergency Closure
The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for emergency closings necessitated by weather or school building limitations or such other emergencies.

308–Chain of Command
The school district takes seriously all concerns or complaints by students, employees, parents or other persons. The purpose of this policy is to clarify the general standards of communication sequence for raising a question or concern. It is vital that every effort is made to resolve concerns as expediently as possible. Individuals with a concern must be afforded an opportunity to confer with the employee(s) and/or supervising staff member(s) to resolve their concern in an informal manner as quickly as possible. It is the responsibility of the site administrator to advise the individual expressing the concern of the district’s procedure to resolve concerns.
