About Nutrition Services

  • Students who eat breakfast and lunch every day have higher academic achievement and fewer behavior challenges than students who skip meals. At Brooklyn Center Community Schools, we do everything we can to make sure students are healthy, life-long learners.

    Free and reduced-price meals

    • Help your children receive nutritious meals free or at a reduced price by filling out the one-page Application for Educational Benefits (see PDF at bottom of the page) and returning it to the school office.

    Pay your bill online

    • We are pleased to inform you that Brooklyn Center Schools ISD#286 will be implementing a new provision available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. It is called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and will begin this fall for the 2022-2023 school year. Through this provision, all students enrolled at BCCS are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2022-2023 school year.

    • ParentVue not only helps parents keep track of their child’s grades and attendance, it helps you manage your child’s lunch account. Contact Debbie Beach at dbeach@bccs286.org to get your login information for ParentVue & Fee Pay.

    Nutritious, creative breakfast and lunch

School lunch isn’t what it used to be! We offer whole grains, fresh salad bars and international cuisine to keep students satisfied and ready to learn.
